What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of smallbizcfo.com, operated by SmallBizCFO, Inc. By using the site you accept them. They cover the website only: actual client work is governed by a separate written engagement agreement, and where the two differ, the engagement agreement controls for clients.
The content is not advice
Everything on this site — the articles, the readiness check, the service descriptions — is general information, not financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and reading it does not make you a client. Advice requires knowing your numbers, and that happens only inside an engagement. Tax and other services requiring a CPA are provided by our affiliate PizzelloCPA, PLLC under its own separate engagement.
The readiness check
The readiness check runs entirely in your browser and is informational. Its result is a rough signal about fit, not an assessment of your business, and no answer you give reaches us through this site.
The client portal
Clients work with us through a private portal at portal.smallbizcfo.com. Portal access is provided to clients under their engagement agreement, and credentials are personal — keep them to yourself and tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
Our content
The content of this site — text, graphics, logos, and the SmallBizCFO name and marks — belongs to SmallBizCFO, Inc. or its licensors. You may read, link to, and share it; you may not republish it as your own or use our marks without permission.
Third-party services
Booking runs through TidyCal, and some links lead to our affiliates or other third parties. Those sites and services operate under their own terms and policies, which we do not control.
No warranties; limits on liability
The site is provided as-is. We work to keep it accurate and available but do not warrant that it is error-free or uninterrupted. To the maximum extent the law allows, SmallBizCFO, Inc. is not liable for damages arising from use of the website or reliance on its general content. Nothing here limits the responsibilities either side takes on in a signed engagement agreement.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. We may update them from time to time; the date above tells you when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change is acceptance of it.
