About
Built by a CPA who kept watching the same thing happen
SmallBizCFO was founded by Andrew Pizzello, CPA. The pattern behind it showed up over and over in practice: a business crosses a million in revenue, the owner is suddenly making five-figure decisions every month, and the financial function underneath them is still a bookkeeper and a bank balance. The advice they need exists — at $200,000 a year for a full-time CFO, or $7,500+ a month from the big fractional firms. At $1M–$5M, neither pencils.
So we productized it. A fixed set of deliverables — a rolling forecast, KPI dashboards, strategy sessions — at a flat monthly fee, sized in three plans. No hourly meter, no scope creep, no slide decks about “digital transformation.” Numbers you can steer with, and straight talk about what they mean.
The voice we aim for is the one you'd want from a trusted advisor who has already done the math: plainspoken, decisive, calm. If a number is an estimate, we label it. If we don't know, we say so.
The structure, stated plainly
SmallBizCFO, Inc. is an affiliated company of PizzelloCPA, PLLC. SmallBizCFO, Inc. is not a CPA firm and does not provide attest services. Fractional CFO work is advisory; tax and other engagements requiring a CPA are performed by PizzelloCPA, PLLC under a separate engagement. The advisory work is supervised by a licensed CPA — the oversight is real, and so is the boundary.
