Who we serve

Owner-operators in the $1M–$5M range

Our client is a specific kind of business owner, at a specific stage. If most of this page sounds like you, we should talk.

You're past survival

The business works. Revenue is somewhere between one and five million, there's a team, there are customers who come back. The question is no longer “will this survive” — it's “what do I do with it now,” and those decisions carry real money.

The decisions got bigger than the reports

A hire that costs $90K a year. A lease. A second location. An equipment loan. A customer who'd be 40% of revenue. You're deciding these things off a bank balance and instinct, because the monthly P&L arrives three weeks late and answers none of them.

A full-time CFO doesn't pencil

You've done the math: $200,000 plus benefits for a full-time CFO, or $7,500+ a month for the big fractional-CFO firms. At your size neither makes sense — but the need is real. That's the middle we built for, deliberately.

You want straight answers

You'd rather hear “that number is an estimate and here's what it rests on” than a confident guess. That's how we work: if a figure is rough we say so, and if we don't know, we say that instead of inventing.

When we're not the right fit

  • • The books aren't current or reconciled — forecasting rests on the books being right, so that gets fixed first. We'll tell you, and point you at the right kind of help.
  • • You mainly need tax work — that's a CPA firm engagement, and our affiliate PizzelloCPA, PLLC does exactly that.
  • • You want someone to run the finance team day-to-day — that's a controller or a full-time hire, and we'll say so.
